| Introduction |
| The programme enables employees and external consultants to develop and demonstrate competence in risk assessment for stress at an organisational level |
The programme is suitable for the following participants:
• Health & Safety professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge of the risk assessment procedures for stress
• Human Resources professionals; as a framework to enable them to advise companies on risk assessment methods appropriate to their situation.
• Stress management professionals; to enable them to increase their range of services provided to clients

| Course Objectives |
The workshop will enable you to work at an organisational level to:
• Use the Health & Safety framework, relevant legislation and guidance and apply them to measuring and managing work related stress.
• Recognise potential hazards which may cause stress.
• Measure the risk posed by stress using the risk assessment process.
• Devise and recommend interventions which should be undertaken in order to reduce/eliminate stress at work.

| Course Content |
Duration: 3 days.
Part one: One and a half days commencing on the afternoon of the first day (15 hours)
Project work (Estimated at 40 hours)
Part two: One day (7.5 hours)
Small group numbers enable this programme to be highly participative. Each candidate, upon satisfactory completion of the course and the risk assessment project, will receive a certificate.
Each candidate will be asked to complete a risk assessment project during the 6 – 8 week interim between parts one and two. This project will be assessed as part of the course.
Candidates will have the opportunity to present and discuss their risk assessment project during part 2 of the programme. On-line support will be available during the risk assessment project stage of this programme.
A further 3 weeks will be given after part 2 for the final project to be submitted.
